Summary TrueScan does its work entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your documents, photos, or any personal data. There is no account, no tracking, and no analytics.
What we collect
Nothing. TrueScan ("we", "the app"), published by GetPageSpeed LLC, processes the images you scan or pick locally on your device. Your documents and photos never leave your iPhone through TrueScan, and we have no servers that receive them.
Camera and Photos access
TrueScan asks for camera access so you can capture a document, and for Photos access so you can scan an image you already have and (optionally) save a finished scan back to your library. These are used only on your device, at the moment you use them, to produce your scan. We do not upload or retain them.
Purchases
If you subscribe to TrueScan Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple processes purchases under Apple's Privacy Policy. The app checks your subscription status with the App Store on your device to unlock Pro features.
Tracking and analytics
None. TrueScan contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no third-party trackers. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Data sharing
Because we collect no data, we have nothing to share or sell. There are no sub-processors handling your content.
Data retention and deletion
Your scans live only where you save them on your device (or wherever you choose to export or share them). To remove a scan, delete the exported file or the image in your Photos library. Uninstalling TrueScan removes the app and its local settings.
Children
TrueScan is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) and CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. TrueScan holds none, so there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. If you have a question, contact us below.
